Last week I spoke to you about Little Ochie, the preferred seafood eatery on Jamaica's south coast, remember?
And this week, still keeping it on the south coast, I introduce (or remind - for some) to you the Black River attraction!
Some years ago, Margaret Kidd, one of my ardent readers, wrote about it as a contest entry. Most Jamaicans, and visitors, typically go there for the crocodile sightings but it is much more.
Here's Margaret's entry, which I tell you, is still one of my favourite: https://www.my-island-jamaica.com/black-river-tour-st-elizabeth-jamaica.html. Read it to learn more about it.
I was asked to do a commencement speech for a the Springfield Primary and Infant school graduation in St. Elizabeth last week.
And although I was super busy and brought it down to the wire, I think I spoke from my heart and in the end, was able (hopefully) to inspire the kids.
So thanks again to Kesha and the rest of the staff for the invitation. It was a bit different this time because of the pandemic, but I enjoyed it.
If interested, you can find a copy of the presentation here on YouTube (unlisted): https://youtu.be/52LywqIxzEw
Did you know...
... that the author Ian Fleming, wrote some of his most well-known James Bond thrillers from his home in Goldeneye, Oracabessa here in Jamaica?
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
