Happy Sunday ,
I hope you are doing well today my friend!
On my side, well, I am good, thank god, but still preparing and watching for any eventuality from Elsa, the first named Hurricane of the season, you heard about it right?
Oh yes, based on the latest update from the Hurricane Center at 5am today (Sunday), it battered other sections of the Caribbean but has weakened back to a tropical storm. It has slowed a bit and the eye will pass north of Jamaica later this afternoon, heading towards Cuba, the Florida Keys and the east coast of the USA.
So not a direct hit at all but we are expecting tropical storm conditions, usually heavy rains with possible flooding from its outer bands so we are still on alert.
And so, I won't be long, but I'd like to bring your attention to two quick points.
- Relative to the tropical storm,
I reopened, dusted off and reposted an insightful article I have on hurricane preparedness today.
Yes, I do have several articles, but this one is probably the most comprehensive with simple guides and tips.
Here is the link:

Please be sure to share with someone you think might need it. And,
- The latest curfew hours in Jamaica
Oh yes, the jitters of tropical storm Elsa didn't take away from the fact that Covid19, as we say in Jamaica, 'still a keep'!
And so we've posted a new article highlighting, not only the newest curfew hours in Jamaica, but also other covid19 related containment measures.
And of course, you've come to expect a video right?
And I do have it... a fun one too - PART 2 of our fun Mango Walk excursion!
Yes, we went back into St. Elizabeth a few days ago, by Ms Pat. We had a feast of mangoes, and we even had a mango eating competition!
Whatever you do, don't miss it.
Please remember to share.
And yes, with Covid, Elsa and all the other storms of life, I remind you to stay #SafeAndSane my friend.
P.S. If storm conditions deteriorate, I'll be the first to inform you, so please stay tuned OK.
