Hey ,
Happy Sunday to you and yours again my friend!
This past week we had a feast of content!
Its is not the newest but one of our most popular articles now!
Be sure to share, it is quite fun too :-)
In this inspiring video, I have the privilege of speaking with an unsung Jamaican hero, Mrs. Rose Powell, a retired school principal who continues to bring joy, hope and inspiration to her local community.
Ms. Rose Powell, a vivacious, sparkling and fun soul, speaks about her contribution to her school and the general education system in Jamaica, as well as her impact in the church and her local community.

In planning your vacation or staycation in Jamaica, do ensure that visiting Ricks Café, here in Negril, is on your list!
Rated Number 10 on the Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine’s "All Time Ultimate Destinations List", the Rick’s Café experience can either be an all day event or the perfect closer to your day.
The Richard Hershman founded establishment has been around since 1974 and offers so much more than the awesome uninterrupted view of the sunset.
The Rick's experience also includes enjoying Jamaicans only cliff side pool, some good food, and endless drink menu (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), world class diving and of course, local connections.
On Tuesday, June 22, I got a pleasant surprise in my email!
The message read...
Congratulations, "New $5 patron! 🎉 Meet Jacqueline Smith!"
I was ecstatic!
Jacky has been around for a while but she finally came on board in a tangible way to help fund this project, and so I say, thanks a million Jacqueline! I look forward to the partnership my friend.
Did you know...
... that in 1904, the Bog Walk tube, that carried water from the Rio Cobre River to the then Bog Walk Power station was the largest pipe in the world?
It was 6,200 feet long, 8 feet in diameter, weighting 1,700,000 pound with 260,000 rivets holding it together.
This same pipe however, accounted for one of Jamaica's worst catastrophes, drowning over 300 men on June 24, 1904!
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
The Tourism room stock in Trelawny is poised for yet another uptick, with the proposed Sun Rise Reef development in Duncans Bay, near Falmouth.
The project will build out a collection of exclusive beach front villas, condominium residences and over-water suites.
Construction of Sun Rise Reef is projected to start in May 2022, and will last for 18 months. The eco-friendly development was designed by architectural firm Atelier-Vidal.
And that's it for today my friend, remember, please continue to stay #SafeAndSane.
