Hey ,
Happy Sunday and Happy new (May) month to you my friend!
Happy new month - that actually sounds a bit novel right :-)
Anyways, away with that,
I'm excited to share one of my most recent excursions with you today.
It's the horseback riding tour!
And that include riding the horse in the water!
Have you ever done that?
Well I have highlights of it today, including pictures!
What's the inspiration? Where did we go? And how was the tour?
Be sure to read and share with someone who might be interested.
And now this week's...
If you follow my trend, chances are you'll notice that whenever I feature an excursion, attraction or fun place to visit, I typically also have the video of it too, right?
Well, same today!
I have highlights of the Horseback Riding Tour for you in video as well, but just enough to whet your appetite :-)
It was actually premiered on my YouTube channel yesterday to much love and appreciation from my YouTube audience.
Here's it (below), enjoy.
Please be sure to share a comment. And if you like it, please share it with someone, the more the merrier.
Featured Jamaican Product
Now this might surprise you, but my interaction with Dan and Samantha, two first time visitors to Jamaica and who I introduced to the local flavour, inspired me to share this.
If you've had KFC here in Jamaica and KFC outside of Jamaica, you'll clearly notice a difference, a striking difference.
The most critical of fast food lovers will admit that Jamaican KFC is one of the best, if not the best tasting in the world!
So much so that we've had persons missed their flight because they were waiting to get their KFC to take back with them on the plane; no joke in happened in Montego Bay some time ago!
And what's the secret!
Well the seasoning and procedure is the same as anywhere else, but it is argued that the local, authentic, Jamaican product(s) might be what makes the difference.
So is it the chickens, the water, the vegetable oil, the flour, or the love?
Or combination?
Your guess is as good as mine, but trust me, our local franchisee has nailed it, so much so that we can easily and confidently claim and make it a featured Jamaican product.
Today I say a special thanks (again) to Ms Beverly Hamilton.
She was the returning resident that I featured last week, remember?
If you missed that video story you can see it here.
A sweet soul, she consented to share her experience settling back in Jamaica and the feedback has been unbelievable!
Her personal story has not only inspired a lot of persons but now we see a virtual network of persons looking to return or migrate to Jamaica mushrooming.
Thanks again my friend!
I'm looking forward to Part 2!
Did you know...
(since we are now in May)
... that the parishes of Kingston and St. Andrew were amalgamated in 1923?
The union came into effect on May 1 that year and called the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC).
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
Some good news for local tourism interests and friends and family in the UK!
Jamaica’s travel ban on travel to the the United Kingdom (UK) came to an end on April 30.
This means that the ban, which was instituted as part of the measures under Jamaica’s Disaster Risk Management Act to control the Covid19 pandemic, was lifted as of yesterday, May 1, 2021 allowing Jamaica to re-open its borders to international visitors from the United Kingdom!
This will enable the critical gateways of Heathrow and Gatwick airports to have transit for passengers coming through and who are fully compliant with health and safety protocols required for international travel.
And that's it for today my friend, remember, please continue to stay #SafeAndSane.
