Happiest of Sunday again to you and yours !
Hoping most things are well on your side.
Teresa, another of my site visitors, reached out to me recently.
She has visited Jamaica over 9 times before and now wants to come here to volunteer.
So her question; what Volunteer opportunities are available here?
I provided some direction to her, but also provided a personal recommendation.
Here's the complete response post (link below), I thought you (or someone you know) might be interested in it.
And yeah, that's my featured article this week.
And now...
This week I had the esteemed pleasure of meeting a young lady who has warmed the hearts of many, not only in her neighborhood, but across Jamaica.
She ventured in what many considered to be unchartered territory for young women to become a champion farmer.
Her name is Sherka Braham, aka Farmer Girl Jessie - you'll like it!
I learned her story but also did a farm tour with her.
Here is the video (below)

Years ago when I was in corporate, I worked with what was called then, a Service Center Team, in Connecticut USA, remotely of course.
There was a wonderful Pakistani lady among the team that was such a joy to work with.
Anyways long story short, she was always going above and beyond to help or fix issues, and whenever the completes another task, she would say to the team back home here in Jamaica....
"That's another Jamaican Patty!"
She absolutely loved Jamaican patties!
But you know what, that speaks to the diversity of love for our very own Jamaican patties!
Trust me, it is not only loved by the diaspora, the world is falling in love with our patties!
So today, that's my Jamaican product feature... the delectable Jamaican patty.
Two days ago, a colleague and friend, Kesha celebrated her birthday!
Today, using this platform, not only do recognize her by wishing her a happy belated birthday, I grab the opportunity to thank her for her continued support here on my website.
She has a way to what I call, 'light a spark', always suggesting or coming up with great and timely content ideas, whether for the website or the YouTube channel.
So thanks again for your love and support Kesh - and I wish for you the very best year to date! ... HBBD #Blessings #Health #PeaceOfMind!
Did you know...
... that Jamaica was the first country to impose economic sanctions against the apartheid regime of South Africa?
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
Last week I did a Vox pop here, asking persons about their position or stance on the covid vaccine?
The results were quite interesting, but even more so were the comments on the video?
Did you see them?
If not yet, please take a look at the comments over here on the video.
Then let me know what you think.
I'm curious.
That's it for today my friend, remember, please continue to stay #SafeAndSane.
