Happy Sunday !
And happy Lovers (Valentines) Day to all the ladies in this community!
So, you 'looove' your Jamaican fruits right?
Oh yeah!
But what if I ask you to guess the top 10 most popular here?
Now that's a tough one right?
Well, my associate thinks that based on her sources, she knows them, the 10 most popular of them.
But I disagree, I think there is at least one more (of my favourite) that should make the top 10 :-)
And yes, that's our featured article for this week.
Be sure to read and share!
He got his biggest desire when Shantelle surprised him with his wish!
And now Mr. Mendez, the Jamaican Curry man, says THANKS in the most sincere way.
But we have a bonus; In addition to telling you about almonds, the new found SUPERFOOD, I'll also capture Mr. Mendez making traditional Jamaican almond drops.
Please be sure to share a comment. And if you like it, please share it with someone, the more the merrier.

If you already watched the video above, chances are you would have heard me speaking about "Shantelle" several times.
So who is she?
I have no idea!
Actually I'm joking, I don't know her personally but I joined with Mr. Mendez to say a hearty thank you to her.
On hearing Mr. Mendez' plea she came forward and made her contribution of a grinder to him... sent all the way from the US of A.
Now that's thoughtfulness.
Did you know...
... that real Jamaican jerk flavor comes from meat seasoned with pimento (called Jamaican allspice) placed on top of a bed of pimento leaves and pimento wood sticks?
Then, it is slowly barbecued over a fire.
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
The Jamaica Tourist Board recently launched the new "DISCOVER JAMAICA BY BIKE" initiative.
Last week, members of the Jamaica Cycling Association participated in the ride, which took them along: Trafalgar Road, pass Devon House, Bob Marley Museum, Hope Gardens, then to Papine, Strawberry Hill Gordon Town Road, Craighton Estate, Irish Town and up the trail to Holywell Park.
The foundation for this consumer cycling experience was set in 2020 when Director of Tourism, Donovan White and members of the Association participated in the pilot phase of the event.
The experience is a new tourism initiative rooted in active travel and the development of outdoor programmes and is expected to be a staple on the menu of things to do across the island.
Thought I'd share this with you :-)
