Happy New Year !
Yes, we are here my friend!
Brand new month, brand new year, brand new decade - and I also say, brand new opportunities!
And despite the joyous worldwide celebration to see the back to 2020, I believe it was one that provided glorious opportunities too, some of which I captured, and you, yes you representing my online family, helped to make a reality.
My entire online audience, in fact, have been fantastic!
And so, to kick off the year, I thought I'd have a friendly and informal 'lyme' (hangout) with them.
I did on Friday - New Year's Day!
It was awesome!
And that 'Lyme' I spoke about above, it was in the form of a YouTube Live!
And the beautiful thing about it is that YouTube converted the live broadcast into a video which allows you to REPLAY!
Cool right? Oh yeah! (Except they removed the live chat)
But today I have that for you!
The replay of my first ever Lyme with my viewers.

Here, below, is the full video!

share it with someone, the more the merrier.
Featured Jamaican Product
Last Wednesday I revisited the Rasta Indigenous Village for a meetup with Queen I to observe her herbal soap production there (more to come on that).
But then it later dawned on me how rich this (Rastafarian) aspect of our culture is. And not just rich, it is considered to be one of Jamaica's biggest contribution to the world!
And so today, I felt it quite prudent to highlight Rastafarianism as not just a Jamaican product, but arguably the most significant of all that Jamaica has produced.
If not already done, be sure to read this article which also outlines the history, customs, symbols and even language of Rastafari in Jamaica.
This week's recognition goes out to none other than my newest Patron, Natalie Morales.
Natalie has been one of my most ardent subscribers but she finally came on board to tangibly support my efforts. She is from my neck of the woods in Westmoreland as well.
Thanks again Nats!
And thanks for your engagement during our Livestream last Friday my friend. I enjoyed every moment.
Blessings.
Did you know...
... that Jamaica has a total of ten (10) national (public) holidays?
This includes four (4) Christian holidays:
Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter Monday & Christmas Day
Six (6) secular holidays:
Labour Day, Independence Day, Emancipation Day, National Heroes Day, New Year's Day & Boxing Day.
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
Remember those questions I asked in the video?
I'd love to get your feedback on them in the comment section as well.
By the way, I think YouTube has removed the Live Chat Replay on that video so you might not see the full interaction but I'm working to get it restored, hopefully by the time you read this.
Anyways, again I say, Happy New Year my friend!
Let's pledge to do our part to make this our best year yet!
