Hey ,
Top of the (Sunday) morning to you again my friend!
For me, it's mixed emotions as I have been busy on the weekend rallying around my dear sister who had to seek urgent medical attention on the weekend because of a complication.
But god is (still) good and she is doing much better now, but keep her in your prayers for me please.
This week though, I had a toss up on which article to feature, but settled with this one (below) as I figured it will resonate better with more of my readers.
What is that?
It's about missionary work in Jamaica.
Did you know that there are several international organizations that offer missionary opportunities to Jamaica?
And it's not only Evangelism and Vacation Bible School, they also do construction projects and student support programs!
The question was asked by another of my readers and Deon grabbed the opportunity to provide a fulsome answer.
Here is the full response post (link below):
As usual, remember to read and share.
And now my...
This week I'm highlighting yet another of my personal favourite videos!
It's the Rock Farm Cocoa (Chocolate) factory tour!
From way up in the hills of Catadupa, I saw first hand exactly how one of my favourite Jamaican tea (ChalkLit) is made!
And so, if not yet seen, be sure to check it out.
Here is it (below) :-)
Featured Jamaican Product
Today's featured Jamaican product is, yes, a bit unusual, but that's because its in itself is a repository.
It's the National Museum of Jamaica!
The National Collection comprises over 19,000 artefacts chronicling the story of Jamaica and the Jamaican people from the pre-Columbian era of Jamaica’s history up to modern times.
If you haven't been there, mark your diaries for this one!
I mentioned it as one of the must visit places in Kingston in this article.
Kudos and thanks to yet another of my ardent readers, Nadind Thompson!
Nadind gave me a glowing feedback last week, thanking me for my weekly ezine mailings and for, according to her, the 'entertainment' :-)
Thanks again my friend!
Did you know...
... that Jamaica has the prestigious honor of possessing the maximum success per capita of any country in the world?
Of course, track and field contributed largely to this. This honor started in 1948 Olympics, when Dr Arthur Wint won the 400 meters.
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
I'm thinking about partnering with a local 'top of the line' supplier of Christmas cakes to make it available for my e-store customers by the end of this month into Christmas.
Is it something you'd be interested in as well ?
I'll proceed only if I get some favourable responses from my readers, so if you are interested just reply to this email and let me know buddy .
And yes, I'd send it by Express delivery from here in JA :-)
Let me know buddy... talk again soon!
