I think the Ministry of culture really pulled all the stops to ensure that not only that the traditional independence celebrations continue, but us Jamaicans, home and abroad were engaged right along the way.

You may also watch it in the frame below.

You remember that last week I shared the video of Melissa, the lady who works on the garbage truck here?
Well, if her story was not inspiring enough, you should read the comments, I was really moved!
And so I say thanks to all those who engaged with that video, sharing, commenting and liking.

Last Sunday, I asked for my online community support of my friend Treisha, who was in the Top 10 position in the JCDC's national gospel festival finals with her song, ONE DOSE, remember?
Well, guess what? She WON!
To God Be The Glory!
She asked me to say thanks to all who supported her in her journey and so I am passing it on. She is really appreciative.
The event was held last Sunday, August 2. The Gospel festival song finals is yet another of the exciting range of activities hosted annually in our Jamaica Independence celebrations.
Blessings and thanks!
