Hey again , happy Sunday!
And Happy New (March) Month!
I hope you (and yours) are well.
Quickly... now there have been a number of inquires and concerns about the question of corona virus in Jamaica, particularly because of the uninformed or misinformed social media posts.
And so, as a responsible citizen of my country, I felt I needed to:
- Answer that question (which is a solid NO), but also,
- Provide you an update on the latest preparation and information on the subject
Take a quick peek and just before you share with your friend, please be sure to share your comment and feedback at the end please.
Ok? Great!
And so yes, that's my featured article for this
week!
And now the ...
TOP 3 Articles (for the week)
On Friday (Feb 21), we celebrated JAMAICA DAY here.
I was just in time to catch a symbolic flag raising ceremony as part of Montego Bay High school's celebrations on the day.
And yes, I have the clips!
Featured Jamaican Product
Today, I'm featuring yet another amazing plant found in Jamaica.
And this time... NEEM.
Neem leaf is used for leprosy, eye disorders, bloody nose, intestinal worms, stomach upset, loss of appetite, skin ulcers, diseases of the heart and blood vessels (cardiovascular disease), fever, diabetes, gum disease (gingivitis), and liver problems.
It is also used for birth control and to cause abortions. In addition to being a good blood cleanser, neem also increases the white blood cells of the body, therefore increasing the ability of the body to fight foreign microorganisms, including diseases like the dreaded chikungunya virus.
I don't have a page on it on my website, but I actively promote it on my Etsy store.
You can read more about it here.
This week's recognition goes out to...
Novlett Stephen, another of my ardent subscribers!
She took time out from her busy studies to send me quite an encouraging email - first thanking me for my newsletters and articles, but also encouraging me to stick to it!
... that Jamaica is the third-most populous Anglophone country in the Americas?
Oh yes! The two above are the US and Canada!
Well, now you know!
Here's a quick question for you...
Why do you think people migrate to Jamaica?
Thanks in advance.
