Today, I want to share a personal experience with you!
In fact, just you, and a selected number of my subscribers, not everyone.
...A True Story
You'd never know this just by getting my newsletters (I don't typically get into that), but a few weeks ago, my organic traffic from Google dipped by 48%, and also my income, and so I felt I needed to do something quickly to turn around my
fortunes.
Anyway, I reached out to a very popular ad network with the hope that, with a few ads on my site, I could earn a bit more to help me improve and stabilize my decreased earnings.
I was excited when the rep told told me I could make three times more than what I was making with just a few more ads!
Well, long story short, I was astonished !
They plastered my site with ads! I was so disgusted and upset!
Now I have to decide if I keep more ads and reduce your experience (we call it the user experience) for better earnings!

And that was just the top half of the site!
Well, as much as I was going to lose money, I chose against it and respectfully removed them from my site!
I was not going to devalue my labour of love, and neither was I going to diminish your reading experience.
I have been to other website plastered with ads and know exactly how it feels to be reading through a maze of annoying ads, not good! It's disgusting!
But as a small creator, this is the type of stuff that happens and sometimes we have to put up with in the background .
You'd never know this, and you probably don't need to know all the intricacies, but that's why in part, I have revamped My Patreon Membership community.
With the partnership of my Patreons I don't have to beseech nor battle these unreasonable, opportunistic people, and will be able to continue provide you great content in multiple formats (plus all the other amazing benefits) for you and my community members.
