My-Island-Jamaica Digest
Ezine: July 21, 2019
Yeah mon, it was a very busy week here in Montego Bay Jamaica, with all the activities that surrounded the 'Biggest Reggae Show On Earth'!
So today, we are just getting back to ground level.
And, I'll start with a response post that I (admittedly) delayed for a while, but one that is extremely insightful, particularly to persons who have an interest in owning a vehicle in Jamaica.
So yes, that's The Feature... for this week...
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Things are coming nicely together for our summer contest - and all our esteemed judges, except 1 has already confirmed.
And so, I am still inviting potential sponsors - anyone who has a business interest in Jamaica (or about) Jamaica to contact me asap.
The benefits of increased traffic, visibility, brand recognition and ultimately revenue, is tremendous. I'm so looking forward!
TOP 3 Articles (for the week)
These below, represent the best of this week's articles, again extremely insightful!
- How to calculate distance between towns in Jamaica
Richard asked a specific question and I answered, but I also took the opportunity to debunk some myths, lies.
- How to get an export license in Jamaica?
It is actually not as complex as it sounds. Aneisha outlined all the requirements and steps for those looking to export from Jamaica.
- What is the role of the Cannabis Licensing Authority - Get The Facts
The anticipation is ripe here in Jamaica, but who can (and cannot) get a licence? And what are the requirements? We answered all those questions here.

A sociology student asked me a bunch of questions on the culture of Jamaica. I answered, but promised her to solicit your perspective. Kindly read and share your feed back here.
I personally want to recognize and big up someone that many regards as the father (now perhaps, great grandfather) of reggae music, Toots Hibbert Of Toots And The Maytals.
Toots Hibbert, is turning a BIG 75 years old this year, and is still going amazingly strong with his reggae music performances. They recently rocked Nevada County in California!
Thanks again for sharing your time.
As usual, I welcome your comments on my website at this link.
Talk later!
