Ezine: July 14 2019
Hey , happy Sunday my friend!
And welcome to this week's (July 14th) edition of your favorite Jamaican online newsletter!
Today, as we get closer to celebrating Jamaica's independence day here, I am excited to share with you something that excites me each year, which turns out to be The Feature... for this week.
Oh yes! It's the list of winning festival songs - since 1966.
Now you can quiz your friends on some of the information there, including, for example, 'How many years to Roy Rayon won the popular song contest?"!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
I'm about to launch perhaps our most exciting photo contest ever!
The 2019 Summer Edition!
And the enthusiasm from everyone is off the roof!
And so, I am inviting potential sponsors to contact me by this Wednesday, thanks.
The benefits of increased traffic, visibility, brand recognition and ultimately revenue, is tremendous. I'm so looking forward!
TOP 3 Articles (for the week)
These below represent the best of this week's articles, again extremely insightful!
- A SLAP IN THE FACE!
Vacationer Said She Felt Humiliated When American Airline Asked Her To Cover Up
- The History Of Banana In Jamaica
Some of this might surprise you.

Sometime ago, Alice in Florida (USA) posted a challenge to me!
She wanted me to create a sort of mini dictionary of popular Reggae lyrics/words, and their meaning.
And yes, as simple as it sounds, it is a challenge.
But then I have you, and the power of our online community - and so it shouldn't be a worry right?
And so, I'm inviting you to share your knowledge (even just one word/phrase) with the rest of us. Your submission, and our collective contribution, might well turn out to be an invaluable piece of reference.
Thanks much!
This weeks' special recognition goes to Stuart from all the way in South Africa!
Stuart asked me a question about Jamaican Immigration lawyers, but not before reeling off of some encouraging sentiments to me for the work I do on the website.
Thanks again Stuart, I am deeply appreciative.
Thanks again for sharing your precious time with me.
I trust the information was insightful to you.
I am so looking forward to that.
So all the best to you and yours in this new week my friend!
Note: If you missed any of these juicy newsletter editions in the past, you can find them in our nicely arranged archives.
