Anyway, you know that we celebrate our heroes, past and present today right?
Yes, it is National Heroes Day! We celebrate it on the 3rd Monday In October annually.
I already posted the full script of the PM's message here (please read it) but I also want to reflect back on a group of persons whose contribution (in total) is many times forgotten here - the Maroons!
Thanks again to June and her daughter, Afrika, we actually visited one of the most significant groups of maroons, the Charlestown maroons - and did a full review.
