I did this today , yeah me ;-)

I made this (picture below) using a simple recipe from my soon to be launched and exciting Jamaican recipe book, Jamaican Sweet Treats!

What in the world is that?

I figured that someone, somewhere would ask ;-)

It is coconut drops my friend.
This one however, is the version that Jamaicans calls 'shamshuku'.

The only difference from the other is that the coconut is grated or blended in this one, rather than diced.

And yes, I used a real banana leaf to get that authentic feel (lol)

Coconut drops is a traditional Jamaica sweet treat that is still very popular here today; sold in rural schools etc.

You can also tell it is one of my favourites, right?
Of course!

Can you get this? How can you make this yourself ?
Is there a real simple recipe?

Hang tight , by the time you wake up next Tuesday morning (August 29) you'll have the instructions in your email.

Get ready to impress your family and friends!

Stay tuned buddy, you're gonna love it! I promise.

Kind Regards,
Wellesley Gayle
