Hi ,
I hope you are doing well today.

I've a number of stuff to share with you but I'm going to make it snappy and highlight only the 'cherry items'. 

(I am mindful that you already got some of the juicy articles earlier from my blog broadcast)

First up though, I am feeling extremely thankful!
Why so?

Well:

  • I've gotten a job offer from a multinational company here in Jamaica for a management level position - and in a different industry!

  • We've gotten two spanking new (and perfectly fit) site sponsors for the website!

  • I feel much better - remember the leg tightness?

  • And much much more!
Yep, I've gotten some much needed rest and things continue to look up for me - thanks again for all the positive vibes from you and all my ardent website fans.

So What's New in this edition?

Mexican Hotel Chain Announces US$0.9b Investment In JA
Mexico-based Karisma Hotel and Resorts has announced plans to invest more than US$900 million to develop nine hotels in Jamaica, adding 4,000 rooms to the country’s stock over the next 10 years!
The 228 acre Llandovery beachfront property in St. Ann will be the site for this massive development, which is also intended to create 8,000 new direct employment and about 5,000 jobs indirectly.

Discussions Underway For Resumption of Appleton Express
Tourism and Entertainment Minister, Hon. Dr. Wykeham McNeill, said discussions are underway for the resumption of the tourist rail service from Montego Bay to Appleton Estate in St. Elizabeth.

The service called ‘Appleton Express’ ceased operations in the 1990s.  It offered visitors a chance to tour the rum estate and factory by train.

They were able to make stops in communities along the way, where they interacted with residents, while making purchases of food, clothing and craft items.
