Yes,
it beautification time for the town of Lucea! Much deserved!
And like Lucea, I've been taking the opportunity to do some tweaking and fine-tuning on your favorite little Jamaica site. Since the last official ezine, I've also added a number of new and informative articles, including:
- The Jamaica parishes page (especially useful for those who are still learning the structure of JA)
- The 11 year old Jamaican girl that got an national award for gallantry on Heroes Day!,
and
And a gentle reminder, be sure not to miss the feature special at the end! But just before we get started, here's another fun Did You Know for you: ...that The Mico University College (formerly Mico Teacher's College) is the oldest teacher training college in the Western Hemisphere and one of the few in the world!
Well now you know :-) - Reggae Music Icon John Holt Passes On
Last week, Jamaica and the reggae music industry was rocked by the
annoucement that the veteran John Holt passed on in a hospital in London. He was 69. Click Here to read the article.
- Major Beautification Of Lucea Town Coming

- How much do you know our 14 parishes in Jamaica?
Crystal, my co-writer, did an awesome job putting this together. This article provides a brief overview of all the parishes in Jamaica while also capturing their landmark attractions. Of course, I also added a few related photos. Very insightful! Read More
