Yes, I know you know the routine by now, but just
before, quick question. Did you notice the redesign of the website? Yes, my-island-jamaica.com, your favourite Jamaican resource? What do you make of it?
The goal was to make it more dynamic and user-friendly. The ads are pesky, I know but they are only there (for the time being) to help me with the monetization. I can't wait to get them off ☺ Otherwise though, what do you think of it? And that question brings me now to yet another popular one we get! Yes, it is 🤔 What Can I Bring Back From Jamaica?
Of course, I don't mind sharing.. .some of the recommendations include - Teas
- Jewelry
- Rums
- Patties
- Coffee
- Craft Items &
- Jerk sauces and seasonings/
Be sure to share with someone who you think
might find it useful. And yes, I have them! Here are three (3) other great reads from
this week: - Attractions To Visit In Manchester
- Top Restaurants on Jamaica's South Coast
- Jamaica vs Turks and Caicos
And still, there's more! Remember that I also have several more great content on the website via the blog, so kindly stop by and check them out. And now, the...
Brace yourself for this one! In this series, I continue to showcase the potent medicinal plants of Jamaica, but this one is a bit different! It's a plant / weed alright, but it's marine! It's the JAMAICAN SEA MOSS! Said to contain 92 of the 102 minerals needed by the body! 😲 In this video, Ms Tamara from Yitshar Blends shared some astounding facts and major health benefits to be gained from using this superfood!😍 Here's the

Featured Jamaican Product
I bet you read me correct again today ☺ Perhaps so, because today I'm highlighted the king of superfoods here! And it is the Jamaican Sea Moss, that same spaghetti looking one that Dr. Sebi swears on!
Sea Moss is in the seas all over the world (well most places) but for some reason, the Jamaican sea moss is sought the world over! So today, while I share the video, I also highlight this power food and medicine combined!
If you didn't know about its enormous benefits, be sure to watch the video above and take some notes!
Recognition
I'll be talking more about this later but I'm mentioning here because of someone, her name is Tee.
After years of contemplation and deliberation, I finally
decided to proceed with done tours, but not just the typical tour you get! I'm doing private tours and the person who, not only encouraged me the most, but provided my first endorsement/ testimonial was she. So today I say, THANK YOU Tee! And god bless
you! If you are interested in learning more about this, my latest venture, be sure to read more here. Did you know...
... that over 952 caves have been identified in Jamaica?
They are concentrated in the northern parishes of Trelawny and St. James and also the bordering parishes of St. Ann, Manchester and Clarendon.
This too, is yet another
interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book. So ground was broken recently for a multimillion US dollar boutique resort development called UNICO 18˚77˚ here in Jamaica. The adults-only, all-inclusive hotel will provide approximately 451 additional rooms, including over-the-water bungalow accommodations aimed at attracting
thousands more new tourists to Jamaica. According to JIS, the Spanish resort’s construction will see the employment of over 1,000 local skilled labourers, locally, and create more than 600 new permanent jobs in the tourism sector. The project is the first of a series of programmed developments for owners, the RCD
Hotels and AIC Hotel Group that will also be partnering with the Government to provide housing solutions for their workers. What do you make of that? Anyway, that's it for today , looking forward to
touching base with you again real soon. Cheers! Note: If you missed any of these juicy newsletter editions in the past, you can find them in our nicely arranged archives. |
