It may not be women's day (or month) but that presentation by Maline Stephen (on the (damina) herb video), reminded me how special our women are!To our children,
our communities and country! In fact, for those of us who have been paying attention, we'll realize that our women are excelling in almost every endeavor in Jamaica now, and in many cases, are holding key areas in the country, including the JDF!And it is not just on island, many are charting path internationally and helping to position 'brand Jamaica'So today, I
salute the hardworking, brilliant and exemplary women of Jamaica. On behalf of all the well thinking men, I say, we love you! Recognition
Late last week I got a call from one of my regular readers in the USA. She was coming to Jamaica and wanted me to take her to a few places she saw me in the
videos. Ms Bones (at the market), the special fish place, the roots man, etc.
Long story short, after some hesitation, I agreed and the rest is history. And when I say
history I mean it as, according to her, it was memorable!
But above that, she gave me a brilliant idea and I think I'm jumping on it! She said, with all my local knowledge and experience, I should seriously consider hosting private tours!
So today I say, thanks again Tee (that's actually her name) and recognize her for her fellowship
and of course, the idea!
What do you think of the idea though? Any suggestions for me?
By the way, She took the duck flower detox (I gave her a package), so she texted me today to say after the 'aggression', she is now resting 😁😁😁
So I'm really happy for her! Did you know...
... that Lucea, the capital of Hanover, Jamaica, was an old maritime town and famous sea-port where sailors spent brief periods before setting sail to other ports? This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
Jamaica resumes direct flight from Italy!
And it is being hailed by local stakeholders as a major boost for air connectivity out of Europe and for the upcoming winter tourist season.
The latest development saw the inaugural arrival of Neos Airline out of Milan, Italy, into
Montego Bay on November 20.
That airline will connect Italy to Jamaica with two weekly flights. “In addition, from December 23, Neos Air will operate a second flight from Verona, Italy. Both flights will be utilizing a Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner with a capacity of 359 seats,” the Tourism Minister Reportedly said. Just thought I'd let you know (Just in case you happen to be in Italy sometime ☺)
And that's it for today . Talk again soon my friend
