Happy Sunday to you and your again !
Hoping all is well with you.
So today we are right (well almost) in the peak of our Emancipendence celebrations here!
In fact, tomorrow (August 1) we'll celebrate Emancipation day and the holiday fever will continue to rise until it climaxes on or about August 6th, our Independence Day!
And so today, right in line with our #Jamaica60 theme, I share with you, yes, sixty (60) top excursions and must places to visit in Jamaica!
So now you have even more interesting places to put on your bucket list!
But please, let me know if you have another gem that should make this list.
Please feel free to share it with me and my viewers here.
And remember we have even more interesting gems this week, so don't forget to stop by the blog page and check out all the other new gems we posted over the last 7 days.
And now for some FUN STUFF😊!
So you know we have the fun Jamaica60 essay running right now?
Oh yeah!
Well the entries have been closed and now its VOTING TIME!
Our esteemed judges have selected their prized Top 10, and now over to John Public!
The public, persons like you, will now vote for their favorite entries, and that will determine the final winners (most votes).
So , if you've not yet..
- Seen the prized top 10, or
- Voted for your favourite entry
You'll notice that we have entries from Jamaica, US and even the Netherlands competing... sweet!
So, join in and vote for the one (s) you think should certainly win😊, but remember you only have until August 3!
And do stay tuned for the announcement of the winners.
Remember to also look forward to our Independence Day livestream this Saturday. I think you'll like it😊
And speaking of livestream, its time for this week's...
In this intriguing video, Ms Ann Marie invited us into her home, in deep rural Westmoreland, to show us how to make the traditional and authentic Jamaican coconut oil!
That same one famous for the 'coconut rundung'!
She took us through the complete steps, from husking, to washing, grating, squeezing/straining, creaming and then boiling!
Yes, I agree, it is tedious, but very simple, and is most rewarding process since we were able to enjoy the amazing health benefits of freshly made (homemade) coconut oil!
And listen, it is not just for food, you'll learn also that it is great for digestion, skincare, hair and even colds! You are in for a treat!
Here's the link (embedded below).
And remember, if you like this episode, please LIKE it on YouTube, and if you love it, please SHARE it with a friend or family member on WhatsApp or
Facebook, the more the merrier!
That's it for today my friend!
Do enjoy the rest of the day, Emancipation and our Independence day on Saturday!
And in whatever you do, please remember the objective of these very important holidays to us as a people and nation.
Oh, and remember to look forward to my livestream this Saturday too.
I can't wait to connect again with some of my ardent viewers in that stream🥰
But again I say thanks for sharing your time with me, until then...
Blessings & Regards,
Wellesley Gayle
