Would you believe me? OK, but wait until you hear about its amazing health benefits! Its called the PURPLE GOURD here, but also known as Bottle Gourd,
Doodhi, Lauki, etc. And yes, it is found right here in Jamaica! So join us here in Porters Mountain, deep rural Westmoreland, we highlight this, yet another, unusual fruit here in Jamaica. Here's the link (embedded below).

That article I highlighted above, got me thinking🤔 Yes we talk about the beauty of Jamaica, in beaches, mountaions, waterfalls, etc. But did you know that Jamaica has been regarded as one of the top exporters of models in the world? Did you know that? Hmm. This might be a bit unusual, but you remember I celebrated my birthday anniversary last Monday right?
And while friends and family members made me feel very special. I in turn, salute the man upstairs, my creator, provider, redeemer, protector,
etc! He orchestrated all this - from birth to now, and say, that be to God! And to him be all honor and glory! Did you know that (this month in our history) ...
… that a railway disaster in Jamaica killed over 200 people on Sunday, September 1, 1957? It happened at approximately 11:30pm in Kendal Manchester. Hundreds of members
of the Holy Name Society of St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church were returning to Kingston from an all day excursion in Montego Bay under the guidance of their pastor, the Reverend Father Charles Earle. This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book. This week, our children will return to school after the long summer break.
With so much uncertainty with teachers and the ongoing threat of infections (covid and monkeypox), I admit it can get a bit discomforting.
But let's pray the up and wish for them the very best in this new chapter
of their little lives.🙏🏽 And that's it for today my friend, talk to you soon.
