Hey !
Happy Sunday to you and yours again my friend!
Now this is a long time coming!
Many of my readers (and possibly you) have been asking for the latest construction rates here in Jamaica, and so, yes you guessed it, its here!
Thanks to Sher, we've now published the very latest report of the construction rates in Jamaica!
It includes the layman's rate for steelwork, shed, painting, carpentry, roofing, tiling and fitting windows and doors!
And please don't be alarmed so fast, remember that this is quoted in Jamaican Dollars 😊
With inflation the way it is now, especially since the conflict in Ukraine, another one might be on the horizon soon - but for now, this is it!
Of course, I have a few bonus articles for you today (as usual)
- Jamaican Hotels With Private Pools | 5 Of The Best Resort Options!
- Is Jamaica Keto Friendly? Maintain Your Ketogenic Diet On Vacation
- Jamaican Resorts With Nannies | 5 Resorts That Offer Babysitting
But do remember that I have several more insightful content on the website via the blog, so
kindly stop by and check them out.
And now, the...
It was my wife's birthday weekend, and we decided that Negril it would be!
And so we choose Merrils Beach Resort not only because of its proximity to the famed 7 mile beach, but also because of its extremely budget friendly, of course, we were hoping to get the best for less😊
But honestly we were surprised by the amazingly great tasting food, albeit a fusion of Jamaican and international cuisine.
And like Veronica, the housekeeper, all the folks there just seemed awesomely hospitable!
Here's the link (embedded below) with the highlights.
And if you like the video, please LIKE it, and if you love it, please SHARE it with a friend or family member, the more the merrier!
Featured Jamaican Product
Quickly, if you didn't get around to watch the video above, please at least take a look at the first 60 seconds or so. Its a bit of a
highlight if you will.
But you'll also get a glimpse of the beautiful, world-famous 7 mile beach in Negril! Oh yeah!
That beach is without a doubt the most adored, not only by Jamaicans but visitors here as well. Yes we have many other amazing ones here but I tell you, that one has consistently won the hearts and minds of the masses.
So much so that it is considered an attraction by itself! You can read more about it here.
And so today I highlight it, Negril's 7 mile beach, as today's featured and proud product of Jamaica!
In response to this video (about the man who transforms waste plastic in toys), one of my subscribers, Shandi Hamilton, wrote
this...
"You're so right, this is the real Jamaica, not what they're trying to portray on YouTube about the small minority of loose object lofting around our beautiful island".
For obvious reasons, it caught my attention, and so today I acknowledge here, seems like a person of my own heart.
Blessings Shandi!
Did you know...
... that one John Leyden, a Scotsman, brought the first car into Jamaica?
He brought it to the parish of St. Elizabeth.
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
I'm on a quest to get to 100k subscribers on my YouTube channel by this summer (Independence Day).
But it will take a massive (but doable) effort, and so I'm asking for your help in sharing my videos and encouraging your friend (or friends) to subscribe to my channel.
It doesn't take a lot, just copy and share this link (below) with them on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter - or whatever social network you use.
