Happy Sunday to you and yours again !
I hope you had a great Easter my friend!
I want to say I certainly did, in many ways!
You remember that Easter Video, that was lovely wasn't it, I enjoyed it totally.
But outside of that, the charity work, the worship services and the fellowship with family and friends, I was commissioned as a Justice Of The Peace (JP) in Jamaica!
You may or may not know, but I have done a lot of community, mediation, and charity work, and so they found it fit to 'formalize' my role of service.
Its an honor though and I say, to God Be The Glory!
But you read the subject right!
I intended to share with you some of the top seafood restaurants in Jamaica!
And no it is not too late, technically we are still in the Easter season 😀, the time for seafood!
Of course, I do have three (3) other gems we posted recently that I'd like to share with you.
- Ziplining In Jamaica | The Best Options and Important Information
- Hilton Rose Hall Resort Jamaica - Is Paradise Found In Montego Bay, JA
- ATV In Jamaica | FAQs And Excursion Companies
But remember that I have several more insightful content on the website via the blog, so
kindly stop by and check them out.
And now, the...
The highly anticipated Montpelier Agricultural Show retuned, and I was there to witness it!
And of course, I have some of the highlights for you in this video!
From the natural Cane juice man - and that the lady with the old time Jamaican duckonnu (blue draws), to the beautiful talking parrot and a 2,000 pound bull!
We also ran into two gorgeous Rastafarian sisters who had some very interesting products to share!
And then I finished off with a refreshing power punch from Ms. Portia, the natural juice lady - who happened to be one of my biggest fan!
I share these (and a whole lot more) in this amazing video!
Here's the link (embedded below)
And if you like the video, please LIKE it, and if you love it, please SHARE it with a friend or family member, the more the merrier!
Featured Jamaican Product
This video about the Agriculture festival reminded me of yet another amazing product we have, believe it or not its our festivals,
particularly the music festivals that include world famous events like Reggae Sumfest and Rebel Salute!
These events draw persons to Jamaica from all across the globe each year - well prior to Covid 😀.
And so today I highlight these festivals as truly another amazing product of Jamaica land we love!
By the way, I understand that Sumfest is returning this year! You can read more about it in this article.
Since the commissioning, I've been getting a flurry of messages from family members of friends, congratulating me on my new role as JP in Jamaica.
I now take the medium to say a heart warming THANK YOU! to each and everyone who reached out to me.
It is truly a great feeling, but I know the work is coming😁
Did you know...
... that spanning the Rio Cobre river at the eastern end of Spanish Town in St. Catherine, Jamaica, is a bridge considered to be the oldest of its kind in the western hemisphere?
This is the Historic Cast Iron Bridge. The abutment of the bridge is constructed with cut stone while the bridge is cast iron.
It is about 81ft long and 15ft wide. This bridge was erected in 1801, at a cost of four thousand pounds!
This too, is yet another interesting fact from my 101 Intriguing Facts About Jamaica book.
Thought I'd share this with you...
It is the fact that Jamaica has left World Expo Dubai 2020 with an impressive showing by exceeding its visitor target and copping one of the 51 available participant awards.
The Jamaica Pavilion, which was located in the mobility district of the World Expo grounds with around 70 other pavilions, was given the bronze award for its pavilion design, which utilized shipping containers.
World Expo 2020 Dubai officially came to a close on March 31, 2022 after six months of world-class experiences and bringing together people from all over the world to create, collaborate and innovate in shaping the future.
The Expo was hosted under the theme ‘Connecting Minds and Creating the Future’ and categorized countries and their participation into three main districts – sustainability, mobility and opportunity (JIS).
Cool right?
Oh yeah.
And that's it for today, thanks again for your valuable time😊
See you next week! In the meantime, please remember to #KeepSafeAndSane!
